The Nebraska women picked up their first postseason win in seven years on Friday with a 72-46 drubbing of Tennessee-Martin in the first round of the WNIT.

The win pushes the Huskers into the 2nd round today against border rival Colorado.  The Buffs defeated Louisiana 68-45 in their tourney opener.

Ashley Scoggin and Izzy Bourne tallied 13 points a piece to lead Nebraska, who outscored the Skyhawks 45-22 in the 2nd half.

If the Huskers can win today they will advance to Monday’s Memphis regional final.  We will have coverage of the game on KCSR, starting with the pregame at 3:45 pm.  Tip off is at 4:00 pm.
