Nebraska’s Caron Selected To Northwoods League All-Star Game

Josh Caron has been chosen to represent the Great Lakes Division in the Northwoods League All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 19 at Witter Field in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.

Caron is among the league leaders in the Northwoods League this summer, ranking in the top 10 of four offensive categories. In 34 games with the Madison Mallards, Caron is tied for sixth with six home runs and ranks eighth with 25 runs scored while sitting 10th with 40 hits and a .512 slugging percentage.

Caron is hitting .310 at the plate with 22 walks and eight doubles, which are tied for 14th in the Northwoods League.

In his freshman campaign with the Huskers in the spring, Caron played in 26 games while hitting .179 with three doubles, seven RBI and 10 runs.
