New Broncos general manager George Paton is bringing a familiar face with him to Denver.
Former Vikings running back and special teamer Mike Boone has agreed to a two-year deal with the Broncos. Paton knew Boone well from his time in Minnesota where he was an executive for the last 14 years.
Boone joins a backfield somewhat in flux. Melvin Gordon is entering the final season of his two-year deal and restricted free agent Phillip Lindsay was tendered with a right-of-first refusal contract and might draw interest outside of Denver.
