Panhandle Prep All-Star Games Tonight In Scottsbluff

Eight area athletes have the opportunity to represent their high schools one more time tonight at the boys and girls Panhandle Prep All-Star basketball games at Scottsbluff High School.

Kodie Rempp and Karlee Junke will team up one final time on the girls blue squad.  The pair helped lead Sioux County to a pair of district runner-up finishes over their high school careers.

Gordon-Rushville’s Jayla Brehmber and Shelby Hurlburt are also a part of the blue team. Brehmer was the Lady Mustangs leading scorer this past season.

They will be joined by their head coach, Randy Hurlburt, as the assistant coach of the blue team.

Lusk teammates Courtney Rowley and Anna Richardson, who carried Lusk to four straight state tournament appearances, are members of the red team.

Charles Hollow Horn of Gordon-Rushville, who led the Mustangs in free throw shooting and was 3rd in blocks on the team, is a member of the boys blue team.

Lusk’s Ryan Bruegger, the top scorer in the 2A East Conference last season at 17 points per game, is also on the blue team.

Edgemont’s Caleb Simons was also selected to play but is at the South Dakota state track championships this weekend.

The girls game will tip off at 5:30pm, followed by the boys.  Festivities will also include a three point contest and dunk contest.
