Rams, Cowboys defeat Sioux County Warriors

The Crawford Rams picked up the win over the Sioux County Warriors in the teams’ season opener last Thursday, rolling to a 50-25 win over the Warriors.

The Rams jumped ahead to a 10-3 lead after the opening stand and held Sioux County to single digit scoring in the remaining three quarters as well. Crawford led 23-11 at the half-time break, and was up 36-18 after the third.

The Warriors’ scoring efforts were led by Shane Gluth, who had 13 points. Ten Ram players put points on the board for Crawford, led by Hayes Frahm with 10.

Sioux County traveled to Cody-Kilgore Saturday to face the Cowboys, and again struggled to find momentum on offense. The Cowboys defeated the Warriors 50-12 after racing out to a 14-0 lead in the first period. Cody-Kilgore scored in double digits every quarter and held Sioux County to six in the second quarter and three points in each period of the second half. Tucker Monroe had eight of the Warriors 12 points, and the Cowboys were led by Gage Davis with 18 points.
