Rischling 10th, Cardinals 4th With Season Best In Scottsbluff (Updated)

The Chadron High girls golf team shot a season best round of 440 on their way to a 4th place finish at the Scottsbluff Invite on Tuesday afternoon.

For the 2nd meet in a row, Maralee Rischling earned a top 10 finish, firing a 102 for place 10th.

Individually the Cardinals have now had a top 10 finish in every meet this season. Raelieigh Bridges earned the first in the season opening Sidney Invite/Western Conference meet.

Gering’s Emily Krzyzanowski and Scottsbluff’s Anna Kelly tied atop the leaderboard with rounds of 74. The Bearcats occupied four of the top 10 spots.

The team title went to Scottsbluff with a 337, a whopping 88 strokes ahead of Lexington and their score of 429.

The remainder of the Chadron golfers weren’t far behind Rishcling. Gracie Jones carded a 111, Jackson Smith added a 113, and Brendilou Armstrong and Bridges finished with matching scores of 114.

Chadron’s next action will be next Tuesday at Ridgeview Country Club for the Cardinals home invite.
