Rookie Patrick Surtain II Will Get First NFL Start Sunday

Broncos rookie cornerback Patrick Surtain II will get his first pro start Sunday at Jacksonville and it will be against a familiar foe.

Surtain faced Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence in the national championship three years ago when Lawrence led Clemson over Alabama.

Surtain moves into the starting lineup with Ronald Darby out because of a torn hamstring.

Denver’s depth is already being tested as starting wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is out with a high ankle sprain and right guard Graham Glasgow is iffy for Sunday after experiencing an irregular heartbeat in the opener.
