The Chadron High volleyball team saw their 24-game win streak against Scottsbluff come to an end on Tuesday night at the Bird Cage with a 19-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-9 loss.
The last time the Bearcats had beaten Chadron was October of 2011.
Senior Tatum Bailey led the attack for the 2nd match in a row with 10 kills. Bailey also added 3 ace serves to the mix.
Fellow Senior Jacey Garrett had a team high 23 digs and dished out 3 assists. Jaleigh McCartney led the way from the setters position with 14 assists.
Chadron Head Coach Blakelee Hoffman said of her team’s performance, “Tonight just wasn’t our night. Even in the set we won, we struggled with passing the ball in system and executing our attacks. Scottsbluff played well…we definitely have some things to work on before facing Gordon-Rushville.”
Chadron has their first road game on Thursday night at Gordon-Rushville.
