SD State Men And USD Women Claim Summit League Titles, NCAA Berths

      The South Dakota State men and South Dakota women are the Summit League champions and have automatic berths in their respective NCAA tournaments next week.

      The Coyote women claimed their 3rd straight title and 4th straight trip to the Dance with a 56-45 win over traditional rival South Dakota State, who shot just 24.6%, their lowest in 6 seasons, and were held nearly 35 points under their season scoring average

      South Dakota won despite making just 1 FG in the 4th quarter as they sank 10 of 14 FTs while holding the #1 seeded Jackrabbits to just 3-22 from the field in the quarter 

      The South Dakota State men completed the first perfect conference season in Summit League history with a 73-69 victory over North Dakota State. 

      The Jackrabbits have won 21 straight, the longest active streak in D1, and extended their program record single-season win total to 30 against 4 losses.
