Season Best Score Leads Chadron Golfers To 3rd Place Finish, Berry Takes 5th

Chadron’s Broc Berry shot a season best 87, just four strokes off the lead, and placed 5th at the Mitchell golf invite on Monday.  The meet was moved up one day when forecasts last week called for inclement weather.

Crayton Cyza of Alliance was the individual champion with an 83.  Mitchell took the team title by six strokes over Alliance with a 355.

As a team the Cardinals were third after shedding 27 strokes off of last week’s score for a 375.

Jacksyn Behrends was one of several golfers to end his round with a 91, but lost out on placing by tiebreakers.

Chase Olson shot a personal best 96.  In his first varsity appearance of the year, Trey Hendrickson carded a 101, and Shawn Schremmer had a 115.

It’s another week off before Chadron hits the course at Morrill.
