Chadron went back and forth with Gordon-Rushville in the first half as the two teams tied at seven after the first quarter and then saw the Mustangs cling to a 21-18 halftime lead. The Cardinals switched from a man to man defense to a trapping 1-3-1 and watched turnovers turn into points, using a 16-5 third quarter run to erase the halftime deficit. Justus Alcorn led the charge with 17 points and Gaurav Chima had 10. Chadron is 3-1 on the year and will host Scottsbluff next Friday.
