Senior FNBO Nationals Go 4-1 Last Week

The Post 12 Senior Nationals continued their hot start to the 2022 season going 4-1 on the week.

The team started out taking games from Bridgeport and Sheridan County by
scores of 7-2 and 1-0. Dawson Dunbar threw a gem in the Sheridan County game,
throwing seven shutout innings and recording 19 strikeouts. Cody Hall was the winner of the Bridgeport game, also throwing well, giving up just one run on three hits and striking out 10 himself.

Over the weekend, the Nats played in the Gering Memorial Day Tournament. On
Friday, they continued their winning ways taking down Sidney 5-2 and Buckley 7-3.
Jordan Bissonette took the win over Sidney going 6 innings and giving up just two
unearned runs. In the second game, Noah Brown got the nod, throwing four innings,
giving up just three runs striking out four. Caden Buskirk came in and finished the
Bombers off taking the win throwing two shutout innings. The Nats then ran into a
buzzsaw losing 12-0 to Casper on Sunday. Broc Berry took the loss in the run-rule
shortened game that saw the Nats find just two hits.

The Junior and Prep teams also had a good week. The Juniors took down Bridgeport
13-0 and Sheridan County 17-2, improving their record to 2-2. The Prep team took on Hot Springs in a doubleheader Thursday. The Nats won both games, the first 5-2 and the second 7-3. On Saturday the Preps went to Rushville to play in the historic Modisett Park winning the game 18-7. Preps are now 5-0 on the year.

The Juniors and Seniors take on Alliance on Tuesday, May 31 and Bridgeport June 1.
Both games are on the road with 5 pm starts. This weekend, Chadron Seniors host
their annual wood bat tournament with games starting at 10:30 Saturday and Sunday.
