The Chadron boys and girls were dealt tough losses at home on Friday night to Sidney in two different fashions.
After trailing by as many as 11 in the 2nd half, Demi Ferguson nailed a step back three as time expired in the 4th quarter to send the girls game to overtime tied at 55.
The Red Raiders outscored Chadron 9-1 in the extra period for the 64-56 win.
The Sidney boys went 18-of-25 at the free throw line and kept Chadron at arms length most of the night in a 65-53 win.
The Cards had the deficit as low as four in the 2nd half, but Sidney always had a response.
Justus Alcorn led Chadron with 12 points and Dawson Dunbar had 10.
The boys close out the regular season at 13-8 while the girls, also 13-8, welcome Newcastle, Wyoming to the Bird Cage on Saturday for a 5:30 tip.
