The 2020 high school football season hasn’t even kicked off yet and one area team has already lost one of its games from their schedule.

The Sioux County football team will no longer play its week two game against Guernsey-Sunrise, WY. Reached by phone on Thursday morning, Sioux County football coach Barry Swisher said that there were travel concerns with Guernsey-Sunrise coming across state lines amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Swisher says that Sioux County is not actively looking to replace the game. Area football on FM 107.7 KBPY kicks off on August 28th with Crawford traveling to Edgemont, SD.
