Sioux County Takes The Crown On Homecoming Night In Crawford

Sioux County scored on two of the four Crawford turnovers they forced including a recovered fumble in the endzone as they knocked off the Rams on homecoming night in Crawford 36-20.

After turnovers were exchanged early on, Sioux County finally broke through with a touchdown from Tucker Monroe with two minutes remaining in the 1st quarter.

The Rams responded with a 5-yard touchdown pass from Hayes Frahm to Payton Swanson, but missed the 2-pt PAT to leave the score at 8-6 Warriors.

Sioux County then reeled off three straight touchdowns, a pair of passes from Monroe to Michael Sanderson and Cy Hughson for a 22-6 halftime lead, and then jumped on a fumble in the endzone early in the 3rd quarter to go on top 30-6.

Carter Rudloff would pull Crawford back into the game with a 1-yard score, but the Warriors had the answer courtesy of Hughson’s rushing attack.

Frahm would find a sliding Ty Brady for the final score of the night late in the 3rd quarter.

Both teams are now 3-3 on the season and we will have both on the radio next week as Sioux County heads to Hay Springs on Thursday while Crawford hosts Cody-Kilgore on Friday.
