State Cross Country Takes Place Today In Kearney

The Nebraska High School state cross country championships are today at the Kearney Country Club.

The Chadron girls, led by top 10 district finishes from Makinley Fuller and Grace Pyle, will try to contend once again in Class C where they have placed in the top 5 the past two trips.

Gavin Sloan is the lone Chadron boy in the Class C field.

Crawford’s Peityn Homan and Gordon-Rushville’s Tyra American Horse will be in the Class D girls race. The only Class D area boy is Dusty Brien of Hay Springs.

The Hemingford boys team is also running in the Class D race.

Class C and D will run in the morning session starting at 11:00 am.
