Hot Springs couldn’t take advantage of three takeaways as St. Thomas More gave the Bison their first loss of the season on Friday night 14-0.
The Bison got into Cavalier territory once in the 1st quarter on a botched STM punt which put them at the 27, but failed to capitalize.
STM’s Kellen Weber opened the scoring with 9:29 left in the 2nd quarter on an 8-yard run.
The next touchdown didn’t come until early 4th quarter when Cavs quarterback Lee Neugebauer found Peyton Young on a 27-yard pass.
Severe weather delayed the game for an hour and fifteen minutes with 6:30 left in the 3rd quarter.
Hot Springs will travel to Bennett County next Friday.
