Three Chadron Wresters Earn Academic All-State

Three Chadron High wrestlers earned academic all-state honors from the Nebraska Scholastic Wrestling Coaches Association.

Daniel Wellitz, Ryan Bickel, and Sawyer Haag were the honorees.

Wellnitz capped off his senior season with a 5th place finish at last month’s state tournament while collecting his 100th career win.

Haag was a match short of the medal rounds this past season in his only state tourney appearance.

In his first season at Chadron High, Bickel had a tough go of it at the state tournament, going 0-2.
