Warriors Drop 82 on Wildcats

The Sioux County Warriors netted 82 points in their lopsided victory over the Banner County Wildcats Tuesday night.

The Warriors went on a 15-0 run to begin the contest on their way to an 82-15 win at home. With second and third string players on the floor for most of the second half, the Warriors’ saw every member of their team contribute. Sioux County had six players score in double figures, led by Kailey Klein and Beth Krein, who each had 12 points. Megan Comstock added 11, and two more Krein sisters – Rachel and Hannah – and Britney Klein each had 10.

Sioux County sank seven three-pointers in the game, two each by Britney Klein and Megan Comstock and one apiece by Kailey Klein, Ashley Hunter and Skylar Edmund.

The Warriors had the game well in hand after the first eight minutes of action, leading 28-5, and shut out the Wildcats 24-0 in the second quarter for a 52-5 half-time lead. Runs of 22-5 and 8-5 in the second half put the game away.
