There was little doubt who was in control of the floor Friday night as the Sioux County girls trounced Minatare 55-9.
A big first half put Sioux County firmly in the lead as they went on a 33-1 run, holding the Indians to a single free throw well into the second quarter. Minatare managed five in the final minutes before the break to make it 38-6 at half-time. Sioux County’s second and third string players saw plenty of time on the court in the second half, outscoring Minatare 17-3.
The Warriors had three players in double figures, led by Britney Klein with 11. Kailey Klein and Rachel Krein each netted 10. Ten of Sioux County’s 11 players found their way on to the scoreboard. Jasmine Calihua-Gonzales netted seven of Minatare’s nine, with Corina Meyers adding the other two.
