Warriors Struggle Against Wolves

Cold shooting kept the Sioux County Warriors on defense against the Arthur County Wolves Thursday night in a 25-60 loss.

The Warriors got on the board first, but it was the only bucket they scored in the opening quarter, and the Wolves edged out to an 8-2 lead. Arthur County racked up another 25 points in the second frame to take a 33-10 lead into the locker room. The Warriors managed just five points in the third to the Wolves’ 17, but the teams paced each other with 10 each in the final eight minutes.

Tucker Monroe led Sioux County with 13 points, which included two treys, while Shane Gluth added 10, including six in the fourth quarter. Jack Hunter contributed two.
