Wayne State College announced on Tuesday a $26.5-million dollar athletic facility renovation project that will include an air-supported indoor practice facility. The indoor facility has a completion date of 2025.

The indoor facility will house an artificial turf surface and a 300 meter track that will be usable across all athletics and activities.

Another area of focus is Rice Auditorium, home to Wayne State basketball and volleyball, where an additional practice court will be installed as well as expansion to ticket offices and lobby areas.

In a release from the college, the project is aimed at raising the recruiting and competitive profile of WSC’s NCAA Division II athletic programs
