Women’s Golf Lands On WGCA Top-25 GPA List

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association ranked the Chadron State College golf team 18th, when its top 25 team grade point averages list was revealed on Thursday at wgcagolf.com.

The Eagles earned a team GPA of 3.713 to appear on the top 25 list for the first time, since the organization began tracking in 2005.

The top five players on the CSC squad – Allison AcostaAlpine HicksteinKenzey KannoBrooke Kramer, and Kinsey Smith – each earned individual All-American Scholar honors from the organization, earlier in the month, and they were each afforded academic honor roll accolades from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in May. In addition, Hickstein became the first CSC golfer since 2008 to make an All-RMAC team, for her performance at the league tournament in April.

Davenport University, of Michigan, topped the WGCA list with a 3.915 team GPA.
