Gary and Valerie Homrighausen are about as friendly and hospitable a couple as you are going to find in the KCSR / KBPY listening area. Gary and Valerie Homrighausen also happen to be the owners and operators of the Prairie Agate Rock Shop in Crawford, Nebraska. As you can see from the pictures, a shop with all these rocks, fossils, gifts and horse hair pottery is unique, goes without saying … the picture speak for themselves.
With a free fossil museum, Prairie Agate has developed into a natural stop-off spot for, as Valerie describes them, …. “tourists who are curious and tend to focus on our jewelry, fossil people, rock people and healing stone people”. (Sounds like a fun crowd doesn’t it.) Open from May 1st thru October 1st the Prairie Agate Rock Shop in Crawford is open 7 days a week and you can take it from me, it’s a one of a kind stop!
