Sturgis Man Given 3 Years In 2019 Rally Sex Sting

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) – A Sturgis man convicted of Attempted Possession of Child Pornography in a multi-agency sex sting during last year’s Sturgis Motorcycle Rally has been sentenced to 3 years in federal prison.

28-year old Sean Gertsch will also spend 5 years on supervised release.

The undercover sex trafficking operation was targeted at internet predators and included the FBI, Homeland Security, South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, Rapid City Police Department, and the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office with the U-S Attorney’s Office prosecuting.
