Omaha police say the man suspected of causing an explosion and fire that leveled an Omaha home has died of injuries suffered in the blast – the third fatality.

28-year old Alexander Toledo died Wednesday at a Kansas City burn unit. Neighbors had found him sitting outside the destroyed home with severe burns.

His grandmother, 73-year old Theresa Toledo, and his aunt, 45-year old Angela Miller died at the scene. 72-year old Larry Rodriguez remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Court records show Theresa Toledo, who owned the home, had asked for a protection order against her grandson – saying among other things that she feared he would “start my house on fire” as a result of drug use.
