Funeral services for 14-year old Tate Topa Yellow Cloud are Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Body of Christ Church in Porcupine, SD, with Pastor William “Bill” Quijas officiating and traditional Lakota services by Mr Jerome LeBeaux
Burial service will be at the Porcupine Presbyterian Cemetery in Porcupine
A one-night wake service starts Monday, August 17, 2020 at 1:00 PM, also at the Body of Christ Church in Porcupine, SD.
Tate Topa Yellow Cloud was born on February 17, 2006 in Pine Ridge, SD to Duane Yellow Cloud, Sr. and Alana Perez. Tate made his journey to the Spirit World on August 10, 2020 in Pine Ridge, SD.
Tate was preceded in death by his brother, Hoka Yellow Cloud; cousins, Jeremiah, Cruzito and Dacia Perez; grandparents, Angel Perez, Sr., Shirley Bissonette, Winnifred White Face-Janis and Harris Yellow Cloud; and uncles, Steven Yellow Cloud, James, John and Neil Bissonette.
Tate is survived by his parents, Duane Yellow Cloud, Sr. and Alana Perez, both of Porcupine, SD; brothers, Waniyetu, Duane, Jr., Maka and Peta Yellow Cloud, all of Porcupine, SD and Luzahan Yellow Cloud of Manderson, SD; sisters, Iyuskinpiwin Rowland and Ohinniyan Short Bull, both of Rapid City, SD, Hailey Kills Back of Evergreen, SD, and Meksuya and Kawita Yellow Cloud, both of Kyle, SD; cousins, Latoya Mesteth, Taylor and Jaimie Quiver, all of Porcupine, SD, and Megan Quiver of Rapid City, SD; and nieces/nephews, Azlynn, Stoney, Esmeralda, James, Onnex, Wicapi, Justice, Kelly, Taylan and Terion.
Pallbearers will be Peta Yellow Cloud, Maka Yellow Cloud, Jose Marrufo, Jaimie Quiver, Taylor Quiver, Dre Pawnee Leggings, Diego Perez, Josh Yellow Cloud, Orn Soldier Wolf, Kuleal Thunder Hawk and Corbin Perez.
