Theresa Marie Mesteth was born on January 5, 1975 in Pine Ridge, SD to Henry Brown and Mae Good Voice Elk. Theresa made her journey to the Spirit World on July 14, 2020 in Minneapolis, MN.
Theresa is survived by her biological mother, Alta White Plume of Manderson, SD; husband, David Mesteth of Minneapolis, MN; children, Lyriq Price, Latonya Mesteth and Jack Auginaush, all of Minneapolis, MN, Kiana Price and Wakinyan Price, both of Montana and Tad Walker of Florence, MS; and siblings, Julia Brown of Riverton, WY, Harry Brown, Sophie Brown and Ramona Brown, all of Pine Ridge, SD, Leroy, Edna and Henrietta Brown, all of Minneapolis, MN, Marvin and Travis Brown, both of Sioux Falls, SD, Grace Walker of Florence, MS, Geraldine Brown of Rosemount, MN; Sandra Waters of Paulson, MT, Henry Brown of Oglala, SD, Chauncey Brown, Jr., Michael White Plume and Ivan White Butterfly, all of Rapid City, SD, Paula Simpson of Lawrence, KS, Pete Brown of Omaha, NE, Deborah Frazier of Ethete, WY, Mariann White Mouse and Christopher Morrison, both of Wanblee, SD, Sarah Martinez and Wilbur Morrison, both of Potato Creek, SD, Ron Hernandez of Roseville, MN and Tatanka He Luta White Plume and Leslie White Butterfly, both of Manderson, SD.
Theresa was preceded in death by her biological father, Chauncey Brown, Sr.; adoptive parents, Henry Red Bear-Brown and Mae Good Voice Elk-Brown; and siblings, Bernice Thompson, Abel George Brown, Aaron Brown, Michelle White Plume, Marlin White Plume and Tawa Paha Luta White Butterfly.
Pallbearers will be: Chauncey Brown, Jr., Johnny Crow, Henry “Ozuya Cikala” Crow, Miranda Crow, Gib Mesteth and Harry Brown.
