The Wyoming Highway Patrol says a Torrington man was killed about 5:00 Tuesday morning in a head-on collision on Hwy 85 north of Lingle.
20-year old Jose Vazquez Reyes was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Highway Patrol says Reyes was northbound when his car was hit by southbound pickup with 2 Oklahoma men that had crossed the centerline.
The driver, 25-year old Collin Sanders of Stillwell, was taken to Banner Health in Torrington while his passenger, 22-year old Walter Hanson of Braggs, went to the Niobrara Community Hospital in Lusk. All 3 men were wearing seat belts.
The Patrol says driver inattention and fatigue by Sanders are being investigated as possible contributing factors to the crash.
Reyes’ death is the 88th on Wyoming roads this year, 28 fewer than at this time last year but 9 more than in 2018 and 20 less than in 2017.
