Two Pine Ridge Reservation men are in custody facing federal murder charges in the stabbing death of a Kyle man on November 1st.
34-year old Antoine “Joey” Makes Good was arrested Tue and 32-year old Vinnie Makes Good on Thursday morning, both in Kyle. Both are charged with 2nd-degree murder for the death of 35-year old Hank O’Rourke in Kyle.
The Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are handling the case. Both Makes Goods are being held in the Pennington County Jail in Rapid City.
FBI spokesman Kevin Smith says only that O’Rourke was stabbed to death outside his home, with the circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet public.
OST Chief of Police Robert Ecoffey says O’Rourke’s body was found in a Kyle residence, but won’t comment on why it took 6 weeks to arrest the Makes Goods – citing the on-going investigation.
