Two More COVID-19 Deaths In SD, One In Pennington County

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – South Dakota reported 2 more COVID-19 deaths on Sunday, one of them in Pennington County, and 44 new cases of the disease.

There have now been 118 deaths and 7,906 cases in South Dakota, but there are only 836 active cases, 19 fewer than on Saturday, with 63 hospitalizations, 7 fewer than on Saturday.

Pennington County was responsible for 7 of the 44 new cases, giving the county 145 active cases, while Oglala-Lakota County added one new case for a total of 27 active cases.

There were no new cases yesterday in Fall River, Butte, Custer, Lawrence and Meade counties Those 5 counties have a combined13 total active cases.
