Two teenage boys have been arrested in connection with a Saturday shooting at the Westroads Mall in Omaha that left one man dead, another wounded, and terrified shoppers running for cover.
16-year old Makhi Woolridge-Jones was arrested Sunday on a 1st-degree murder warrant in the death of 21-year old Trequez Swift while 18-year old Brandon Woolridge-Jones was earlier arrested on am accessory charge.
Authorities haven’t said if the two arrested teens are related or what their relationship was with Swift, who died at an Omaha hospital.
Police said in the immediate aftermath of the shooting that they did not believe it was a random attack. The gunfire caused panic as people fled from the main section of the mall.
