Unattended Death In Rural Dawes County Ruled Natural Causes

Dawes County Attorney/Coroner Vance Haug says the unattended death of an 88-year old rural Dawes County woman was the result of natural causes.

Elta Harper was found deceased in her home in the Belmont area about 7:00 Sunday morning. Medical personnel estimated Mrs Harper died during the early morning hours.

Haug, who responded along with Dawes County Sheriff’s deputies, says that after an investigation of evidence at the scene, witness interviews, interviews with medical personnel, and a review of Mrs Harper’s medical history led to the determination of natural causes.
