Graveside services for 75-year old Victor Standing Soldier are Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 11:00 at St Joseph’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Hisle, SD, with Father Ron Seminara, S.J., officiating.
A reception follows the services and runs from 1:00 ~ 4:00 PM, at the Crossroads Motel Conference Room, also in Martin, SD.
Victor William Standing Soldier was born on February 2, 1945 in Pine Ridge, SD to Andrew Standing Soldier and Lema (Brown/Bad Wound) Standing Soldier. Victor made his journey to the Spirit World on July 24, 2021 in Rapid City, SD.
Victor is survived by his brothers, Theodore J. Standing Soldier, Sr.; nephews, Theodore Standing Soldier, Jr. and Jordan Standing Soldier; nieces, Jenny Yellow Boy, Tasha Standing Soldier, Terielle Standing Soldier and grandchildren; brother, Steven P. (Bonnie) Standing Soldier; nieces, Stephanie Rose Standing Soldier and Stacey Lema (Tony) Marrufo; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Lema Standing Soldier; sister, Marlene Standing Soldier; brothers, Andrew Standing Soldier, Jr. and Edward Clay Standing Soldier, Sr.; and nephew, Edward Clay Standing Soldier, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Norman Standing Soldier and Robert Running Bear.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
