Virginia Bertha (Little Crow) White Woman “Nahpe Wast’e Win” ~ Good Hands Woman ~ was born on August 30, 1933 in Yellow Bear Canyon near Allen, SD to Carrie (Many Cartridges) Little Crow and Sidney Little Crow. Virginia made her journey to the Spirit World on May 7, 2021 at the Pine Ridge IHS Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Virginia is survived by her children, Sharon (James) White Woman-Haugen, Zona White Woman, Verlene (George) Fox, Vernal White Woman and Bruce (Linda) Spang; brother, Ben Conquering Bear; grandchildren, Roberta (Benji) Headswift, Tashina (Seth) Haugen-Brady, Katherine Haugen, Patricia (Sven Limpy) King, Taleah Haugen, Chase Young Bear, Toby Spear, Spring Bear Comes Out, Dallas and Allyssa White Woman, Jennifer, Velenda, Desi, and Sydney Fox, Vernal “JR”, Talana, and Shayne White Woman, Bruce Spang, Jr., and Jessica Spang; and great grandchildren, Donovyn, Donalynn, Conan, Cyrell, Seth Jr., Patti, Natsesta, Harvey, Serenity, Zalon, Cauis, Michael, William, Vernal III, Amuana, Camden, Zi, AJ, Kyrie, Devin, Valor, Chitat, Wanbli, Jerome, Gabriella and Genesis.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Carrie Little Crow; spouse, Rufus White Woman; sons, Rufus Wayne, John, Harvey Ray, and Donovan White Woman; and siblings, Grace and Bernice Little Crow.
Pallbearers will be Dallas Ryan White Woman, Seth “JR” Brady, Donovan Headswift, Bruce “JR” Spong, Vernall “JR” White Woman, Austin White Woman, Ray Takes War Bonnett and Mario Harris.
