Wade Russell Hack was born in Alliance, NE, on Friday, Sept 1, 1961 to Russell and Wilma (Soester) Hack and left us on Friday, Nov 19, 2021 at his home in Aztec, NM. after being in failing health the last four years.

Wade grew up in Nebraska, receiving his elementary education in rural schools in Box Butte and Dawes counties. He attended Chadron High School his freshman and sophomore years, and then transferred to Alliance High, for his junior and senior years, graduating in 1980.

Wade loved the country life, horses, cows and haying and valued every minute he could spend with his Grandad Soester working with horses.

He tried his hand at bull and bronc riding and broke horses when he was younger.

He worked in construction and ranching in the Sandhills, before moving to New Mexico in 1985, where he was also employed in home construction, as well as truck driving and the oilfields.

Wade married Darlene (Crawford) Powers on June 23, 2006 and gained two beautiful daughters. Wade swore he would never have kids but he ended up being an amazing father.

Wade could always make you laugh, loved helping people, playing his guitar and taking care of animals.

From the stories he told, one would realize Wade started out his adult life a bit rough, but God definitely smoothed out those rough edges. Wade ended his life as a beautiful testament to what the love of Jesus looks like reflected in a man.

He is survived by his wife Darlene, daughters Senaya and Kyla Powers, granddaughter Moira Gangloff, mother, Wilma Hack of Alliance, sister Ronda (Ken) Carter of North Platte, NE, brother  Lyle (Jami) Hack of Tucson, AZ, six nephews, two nieces, numerous great-nieces-and-nephews, aunts, uncles. and cousins.

Also surviving are his father and mother-in-law, Floyd and Dinah Crawford, sister-in-law Debra, and brother-in-law Larsen Crawford, all of New Mexico.

Wade was preceded in death by his father Russell, grandparents Bob & Ruby Soester and Alvin & Virginia Hack, uncles Perry Hack and Ronald Soester, and aunt Carol Stolldrof.

Wade will be sorely missed.
