Funeral services for 40-year old Waldron Jealous of Him Jr are Wed, Jan 12, 2022 at 10:00 at St Julia’s Episcopal Church in Porcupine, SD, with Senior Catechist Ben Conquering Bear and Lay Minister Anthony Wounded Head officiating and traditional Lakota services by Mr Dave Swallow
Burial is at St Julia’s Episcopal Cemetery in Porcupine.
A one-night wake service starts at 10:00 AM, Tues, Jan 11, at 10:00, also at St Julia’s Episcopal.
Waldron Jealous of Him Jr “Nawicakcinjn” was born on August 1, 1981 in Pine Ridge, SD to Waldron Jealous of Him, Sr. and Charity Ann White Face. Waldron made is journey to the Spirit World on January 3, 2022 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Waldron was a very quiet and humble man. He was always willing to help. He attended and graduated elementary school from Our Lady of Lourdes in Porcupine, SD and then from Little Wound High School in Kyle, SD. He continued on to graduate from Oglala Lakota College with a 2-year certification in Carpentry and Construction.
Waldron later moved to Rapid City and began his family with his wife, Valerie Romero. From this union came 4 children: Kael James, Kalea Summer, Koda James, & Kamila Rain Jealous of Him.
He was very fond of one of his uncle’s, Steven Yellow Cloud and cousin, Nipsey White Face. Waldron will be missed by his sisters, Bianca, Dori, & Wanita, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts. He is now in Heaven with his grandparents and cousins.
We love you son, husband, dad, brother, uncle, and cousin… Til’ we meet again.
Waldron Jr is survived by his mother, Charity White Face; father, Waldron Jealous of Him Sr; spouse Valerie Romero; daughters Kalea Summer Jealous of Him and Kamila Rain Jealous of Him; sons Kael Isaac Jealous of Him and Kodah James Jealous of Him; siblings Wanita Marrufo, Bianca Jealous of Him and Dori White Face; and grandfather Barney White Face.
Waldron Jr was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Isaac and Zona White Face; paternal grandparents Louis and Bessie Rock-Jealous of Him; uncles Isaac “Bucky” White Face, Gerald White Face, Norton White Face and Steven Yellow Cloud; and cousins Gerald “Nipsy”, James, Steven and Leilani White Face.
Pallbearers will be Gerald White Face, Tory White Face, William Ghost, Robert American Horse, Andrew Steele, Kevin White Face, Weldon Spotted Eagle, and Louis Jealous of Him Jr
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends and relatives.
