Warrant Issued For Woman Who Failed To Show Up For Sentencing In Fatal DUI Case

CHADRON – An arrest warrant has been issued for a Rapid City-area woman who failed to show up in Dawes County District Court on Tuesday to be sentenced for the death of a 6-year old passenger in a drunk driving accident nearly 3 years ago.

35-year-old Kimberly Eagle Bull of Box Elder pleaded No Contest in February to a pair of felonies – Motor Vehicle Homicide while Driving under the Influence and DUI Causing Serious Bodily Injury – and 2 misdemeanors – False Reporting and Transporting a Child While Intoxicated.

Prosecutors dropped 3 felony child abuse charges in return for Eagle Bull’s plea.

6-year-old Christina Roubideaux was killed and 2 other children injured in September 2017 when Eagle Bull, then living in Pine Ridge, lost control of the mini-van she was driving on Slim Butte Road northeast of Chadron and it rolled.

Eagle Bull’s case dragged out longer than most when 4 defense requests for delays were granted in February and December 2018 and July and November 2019. She faces up to 20 years in prison when she is finally sentenced.
