Funeral Services for 61-year old Wayne Klick were held Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Rapid City, SD, with Pastor Henrique Flemming officiating.
Burial followed at the Pine Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Rapid City
Wayne Anthony Klick was born on January 17, 1959 in Pine Ridge, SD to Mother Elenita Veree (Prairie Chicken) Stroxtile and Father Leon Joseph Klick. Wayne made his final journey home on December 2, 2020 at his residence in Salt Lake City, UT.
The oldest of four siblings, he was the only boy with 3 sisters. Growing up, Wayne was a very astonishing being and in his lifetime he achieved many things.
He traveled from California to Hong Kong, China, as a participant in martial arts (Kung Fu) competitions. He was the successful owner of an auto mechanic shop which he proudly ran for over 30 plus years.
Wayne had an awesomely adventurous spirit. He lived life to the fullest and was always showing someone how they can have great fun with the great outdoors. Snow skiing, rafting, jet skiing, biking, motor crossing, four wheeling, hiking, and camping are just a few of the things he loved to do.
He also loved going to concerts whenever he could. A lover of music in its essence, his last awesomely concert was the Rolling Stones in Denver, CO.
Wayne always had a generous heart and would make sure you were taken care of. He was a son, brother, father, grandfather, and a friend. Wayne was truly one of a kind and he will be greatly missed. Love you.
Wayne is survived by his children, Kelly (Pony) Klick, Landin Yazzie and Sessaleh Yazzie; Three sisters: Michelle Klick, Stephanie Stroxtile and Terry Stroxtile; grandchildren, Makiya Klick, Hendrix Klick, Saven Yazzie and Roland Yazzie; nephews, Michael Boyd and Andrew Boyd; and survived by many relatives from the Klick and Prairie Chicken Families.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Leon Klick; mother, Elenita (Prairie Chicken) Stroxtile; Paternal Grandparents, Edward and Mary Klick; Maternal Grandparents, Solomon and Christine Prairie Chicken; Uncles, Kenneth Prairie Chicken and Melbert Prairie Chicken; Cousins, John Prairie Chicken and Stephen Prairie Chicken; Nephew and Niece, Stephen Boyd and Christina Boyd.
Pallbearers were Kelly Klick, Landin Yazzie, Micheal Boyd, Andrew Boyd, Ted Prairie Chicken, Sam Prairie Chicken and Micah Prairie Chicken.
Honorary Pallbearers will be All Family and Friends.
