Details remain limited on the Wednesday structure fire in Hot Springs that claimed one life.
The name of the victim has not been released, pending notification of family.
Fall River County Sheriff Robert Evans says details of the fire aren’t being released yet because the investigation by the South Dakota State Fire Marshal’s Office remains active.
Hot Springs Volunteer Fire Department Chief Dar Coy says the fire was limited to the structure and while a cause has not been confirmed, investigators believe they have a good idea of what happened.
