A 3-day search of more than 1,100 acres in southeastern Nebraska over the weekend did not find the remains of a Tecumseh woman missing for more than 9 months, but the Nebraska State Patrol says the search still helped the investigation.
State Patrol Lt. Eric Jones said Sunday that investigators are now confident that the remains of 55-year old Linda Dillard are not in the large area that was searched, but they continue to believe she may have been the victim of a crime.
Dillard was last seen near Table Rock on June 16. No one has been arrested in connection with her disappearance.
