Willard Floyd Grinnell was born on December 24, 1980 in Pine Ridge, SD to Eldridge Dennis Grinnell, Sr. and Pier Angelina (Black Calf) Grinnell. Willard made his journey to the Spirit World on December 14, 2020 in Gordon, NE.

He lived in Gordon, NE with his parents and siblings; Eldon, Eldene, Eldridge, Jr., Mark, Fred, and Eldrin Grinnell and a half-brother Derek Graham. Later, he lived with his aunt Eileen in Rockyford with his brothers; Junior, Mark, Freddie, and Sonny, until he decided to strike out on his own.

He continued his education through life experiences as he traveled to Utah, Oklahoma, and throughout Nebraska. Wherever he was, he made many friends who became life-long friends. But always he returned to Gordon, where his heart and roots were.

Willard was an accomplished self-taught artist who could have made a prosperous living but chose to gift his artwork to friends and relatives. He was also a self-taught carpenter, plumber, painter, and all-around handy man. He was diligent, hard-working, and trustworthy as a worker.

Willard touched many lives and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and relatives. Rest in Peace, my nephew/son.  Love you, Auntie/Mom, Eileen.
