Burial services will be at the Martinez Family Cemetery, Wounded Knee, SD
A one-night wake service starts Friday, September 11, 2020 at 4:30 PM, also at the Joe Clifford residence
William Lee Clifford Sr was born on December 24,1988 ,in Pine Ridge, SD, to Joseph Lee Clifford Jr and Annabelle June Martinez. William made his journey to the Spirit World on September 6, 2020 in Rapid City, SD.
William is survived by his father, Joseph Lee Clifford Jr; children, Jaliyah A. Clifford, Lanayah White Magpie, Kha’Nie Clifford, Anita “AJ” Clifford, Carlos Clifford, William Clifford Jr., and John Julius “JJ” Brewer; brothers, Charles “Chuck” Mousseaux of Washington, D.C., Patrick L. Clifford of Batesland, SD, David Clifford of Gordon, NE; Joseph Clifford of Rapid City, SD, John Clifford and Richard Clifford, both of Pine Ridge, SD, Maximus Martinez of Rapid City, SD, JLee Big Crow of Black Hawk, SD, and Coy (Mitzi) Big Crow of Oglala, SD; sisters, Anne (Ernie) Abold of Batesland, SD, Marie (Calvin) Monroe of Gordon Junction, Denise Clifford of Batesland, SD, Tanya Clifford of Pine Ridge, SD, Jennifer (Gentry) Ribitsch of Pine Ridge, SD, Brandy Clifford of Pine Ridge, SD, Christina (Les) Clifford of Pine Ridge, SD, Daisy Martinez of Rapid City, SD and Passion Martinez of Rapid City, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by his mother, Annabelle Martinez; sisters, Anita “AJ” Clifford and Gloria Clifford; brother, Joe Martinez; maternal grandparents, Seth B. Martinez and Christine (Gay) Martinez; and paternal grandparents, Joseph L. Clifford, Sr. and Thelma L. (Garcia) Clifford.
Pallbearers will be John H. Clifford, Seth Martinez, King Martinez, Joseph C. Clifford, JLee Big Crow, Tim Buckman, Coy Big Crow, Daniel Tobacco, Randy Thesing, and Maximus Martinez.
Honorary pallbearers are all of Will’s loved ones.
