Wintery Weather Possible Factor In Fatal Scottsbluff Area Crash

The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office says one person was killed this morning in a traffic accident near Scottsbluff as wintery weather left area roads icy and slick.

Few details have been released other than the accident happened around 8 a.m. on the Highway 26 overpass just west of Scottsbluff. Scanner reports indicated the driver had been ejected.

Authorities in the area say they responded to several other crashes this morning, including ones on Highway 26 near Morrill and on Highway 71 in Banner County.
