WNCC Offering Up To 2 Free Summer Classes To All Students

SCOTTSBLUFF – Western Nebraska Community College has announced a program allowing students to take one or two summer classes for free.

The SummerFree Scholarship program covers tuition and fees for two courses, as well as a $200 scholarship for textbooks that can be used at Buddy’s Books & Bistro. The only cost that will land on student are any instructional materials.

WNCC Financial Aid Director Sheila Johns says “With the current global situation, it is easy to lose sight of future goals, but we want to encourage students to get a head start on their college education, or take those final steps to earn a degree.”

Johns says SummerFree allows WNCC to help create a path to success, even in these uncertain times.” Interested students must fill out an application at go.wncc.edu/summerfree. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 8, with summer classes beginning May 26.
