Wyo Man Loses Neb Supreme Court Appeal Of Scotts Bluff Molestation Convictions And Sentence

The Nebraska Supreme Court has upheld the 4 convictions and prison sentences of a Wyoming man accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year old girl in Scotts Bluff County.

69-year-old Larry Senteney of Guernsey was sentenced last year to 12-to-20 years in prison for 2 counts of 3rd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, one count of Attempted 1st Degree Assault of a Minor, and an additional felony sex crime.

In his appeal, Senteney claimed the sentences were excessive and that the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s deputy who first interviewed him should not have been able to testify about his demeanor during questioning.

The Supreme Court rejected both arguments, ruled that judge did not err in allowing the testimony and that the prison terms fell within the state’s sentencing guidelines.
