Wyoming Jobless Rate 3rd-Lowest In The Nation

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) – Wyoming’s unemployment rate fell 1.2 points in June to 7.6%, the 3rd-lowest in the country and well below the national rate of 11.1%.

Some public health orders for slowing spread of the coronavirus were lifted early in the month, but some regulating large gatherings were reinstated or left in place after a resurgence in the number of new cases occurred.

Natrona County had Wyoming’s highest unemployment rate in June at an even 11%, Albany County had the lowest at 4.5%, and Teton County had the largest drop in unemployment in terms of people. Park, Sheridan and Sublette counties also saw significant drops in unemployment.
