Wyoming Likely Has First COVID-19 Case

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) – Wyoming has identified its first apparent case of COVID-19, the new coronavirus disease.

The state health department says a woman from Sheridan County who had recently traveled inside the United States had a positive result in preliminary testing.

The CDC, federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, will conduct more tests to confirm that the woman has the virus.

The department ïs following up to learn more details about her exposure risk and to identify and communicate with anyone who may have been in close contact with her.
