Funeral services for 35-year old Zandra Marie Zephier are Thurs, January 7, 2021 at noon at St Matthews Episcopal Church in Rapid City, SD.
Burial service follows at 2:00 PM at the Mt. View Cemetery in Rapid City, with Pastor Henrique Flemming officiating and traditional Lakota services
Viewing will precede the funeral from 10:00-noon, also at St Matthews Episcopal Church in Rapid City
Zandra Marie Zephier was born on December 12, 1985 to Ronald Zephier and Joann Short Horn in Rapid City. Zandra made her journey to the Spirit World on December 29, 2020 in Rapid City.
Zandra attended and graduated from Little Wound School in Kyle, SD. She returned to Rapid City to attend the National American University, where she also graduated in 2011.
Zandra lived in Rapid City with her family until she made her journey to the Spirit World. She enjoyed the outdoors and doing activities with her family including hiking, running, swimming, boating, and camping.
Zandra is survived by her father, Ronald Zephier; sons, Chayton, Dominic, and Talon; sisters, Jessica, Kristin, Angelica, and Cady; brothers, Corey and Cody; aunts, Donna Short Horn, Pearl & Veronica Hopkins, Neva, Charlotte, & Eleanora Zephier; uncles, William & Victor Short Horn, and Russel Zephier; nephews and nieces, Madison, Kellin, Benjamin, Kristian, Joanna, Charlee, and Adalynn; special friend, Michael; and numerous cousins.
Zandra was preceded in death by her mother, Joann Short Horn; grandparents, Myrnette Wounded Head & Eugene Short Horn, and Myrtle & Nephie Zephier; and cousin, Shelby Short Horn.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Peniska, Brad Yellow Thunder, Kalo Garrett, Tim Long Soldier, Reginald No Neck, Jr., and Tom Janis.
Honorary Pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
