Keep Chadron Beautiful Electronics Recycling Day Is Here

Loading

The 15th Keep Chadron Beautiful Electronic Recycling Day is today from 9:00 to 2:00 at the Chadron Federal Credit Union at 3rd and Bordeaux.

Keep Chadron Beautiful Executive Director Danny Anderson says a state grant is allowing the collection of 20,000 pounds, 10-tons, of electronic waste, so the collection will end early if it appears the limit has been reached or the trailers are full.

Anderson says the Chadron community has responded strongly in the past to the electronic recycling day and to disposing of electronic waste responsibly.

Nearly all true electronic devices will be accepted, including computers, monitors, tvs, printers, microwaves, cell phones, DVD machines, routers, power cords, electronic cables, keyboards, and mice.

Items that won’t be taken include large appliances, small kitchen appliances, battery-powered consumer goods, ballasts, bas-powered yard equipment, fans, and solar panels.

Extensive lists of items that will or will not be accepted can be found in the Announcements section of Chadrad.com.
